The Effect of the Transport Factor on the Location of Export Production in Comecon Member Nations
With the development of socialist economic integration, the effectiveness of the location of export production of COMECON member nations depends to a considerable degree on the transport factor. The implementation of the Comprehensive Program for Socialist Economic Integration and the growing foreign economic relations between COMECON countries on this basis are drawing into export production an ever greater number of industrial enterprises, the rational location of which from the standpoint of the transport factor is the basic source for raising the economic effectiveness of social production in the face of the further intensification of the international socialist division of labor.
