THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SELF-MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES IN TEACHING GETTING READY FOR GOING OUTSIDE TO STUDENTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES
: The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of self-management strategies on teaching how to get ready for going outside to students with developmental disabilities. Participants of this study are three male students, whose ages between 8 and 10, with developmental disabilities. Multiple probe design with probe conditions across subjects was used to assess the effects of self-management strategies. The findings showed that self management strategies were effective in teaching getting ready for going outside; participants acquired using self management strategies, can use the self-management strategies reliably, and maintained the acquired skills over time.
