The environmental Kuznetz curve in transition countries on the example of Poland

Economic growth may have negative impacts on social as well as environmental goals of society, as well as long-term economic growth. On the other hand, economic growth may create sources for environmental protection. The Kuznets curve presents the relation between economic growth and environmental pressure. In this article, the issue is addressed what is the form of the relation between economic growth and environmental pressure between 1980 and 2004 in Poland.
