The evaluation of the efficiency of the bank system’s functioning and development

Approaches to the evaluation of the efficiency of the bank system’s functioning and development are analyzed. The indicators and coefficients which characterize the main activities of the banking system are defined. The appropriateness of applying the potential theory in order to determine the integrated value of the efficiency of the bank system’s functioning according to the range of indicators is substantiated. Models to determine the potential of the bank system’s development with the use of the mathematical set of potential functions are developed, the methodology of their using and performing calculations is described. The adequacy of the developed models is grounded. The conclusions have been made and perspectives of further research in the field of the evaluation of the efficiency of the bank system’s functioning and development have been defined.
