THE EXPERT’S OPINION

Harold Chong is Chief Information Officer and Director of Information Management for the Asia Pacific Division of Compaq computers. His organization is responsible for software development, systems implementation, computer operations, communications support, customer and sales force automation, automation of the manufacturing and associated logistics activities and the provision of key information reports to the business. He is responsible for planning and integrating all strategic information processing, systems engineering and network (communications infrastructure) design activities for the Asia Pacific region and is a memver of the 3- member committee which decides worldwide information technology and management policies, standards and strategies at world headquarters. Mr. Chong reports directly to the CEO of the Asia Pacific Division.
