THE EXPERT’S OPINION
Alfred M. Zeien was elected Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of The Gillette Company in 1991. Previously, he had been Vice Chairman, Gillette International/ Diversified Operations. In this position, Mr. Zeien was responsible for the Company’s blade and razor, personal care and stationery products businesses internationally, outside of North America and Western Europe, and for the Braun AS, Oral-B Laboratories and Jafra Cosmetics International subsidiaries, worldwide. He has held many other positions in Gillette since joining the company in 1968. He graduated from Harvard Business School’s MBA program.
