The impact of regulatory asymmetries in a globalising environment

Cross-border economic development can be either facilitated or impeded depending on how responsive it is to the needs of social structures and how intertwined it is with social development. The hypotheses offered are meant to be a set of principles upon which current analysis of major driving forces of global economic integration might be based and which may inspire further analysis. The analysis attempts to show the synergistic effects that result from a symbiotic relationship between economic and social development. Such synergistic effects include minimising cultural diversity and enhancing integration of social structures giving credence to socioeconomic development.
