The Impact of Team Management on Workers’ Productivity

A team is a small group which engages upon a specific task for which group members have a clearly defined role and in which each member has a vested interest in success. The only way to tackle process improvement of problems is through the use of some form of teamwork. The effectiveness of team management enhances noticeable job efficiency and is certainly about work in progress. The study finds and summarizes that team management has been found to be a useful technique through which the activities, behavior, skills, knowledge and attitude of workers can be improved upon. It also concludes that it is obviously said that a tree cannot make a forest. The study makes some recommendations to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of employees' productivity which says that management must make sure that members of groups and teams are encouraged to enable them participate fully in any tasks. Rewards are also to be given to members whose tasks are characterized by reciprocal task which is based upon team performance or a combination of individual and team performance (if individual performance can be identified) and finally, group or team members are encouraged to periodically assess the appropriateness of existing norms. All these will help the team to avoid any mistakes that might want to arise
