The Influence of the Viscosity of Crude Oil on Liquid-Dynamic Noise Characteristics in the Volute Shell of Oil Transfer Pump

This paper aims to investigate the relationship between the viscosity of crude oil and liquid-dynamicnoise characteristics of crude oil transfer pump. A 3-step mathematical characterization model isproposed to describe the relationship between the viscosity and the corresponding water content ofcrude oil. The maximum relative deviation is 2.62%. The lower the viscosity ofthe crude oil is, the greater the change in static pressure is. The static pressure critical viscosity affecting the inner wallof the volute shell is 1728mPa.s. In view of the actual situation that the water content of crude oil issignificantly reduced after twice dehydration and deemulsification treatments, we proposed a transmitmethod by heating up the pre-stable and post-stable crude oil twice to keep the viscosity constant inthe whole progress of crude oil transmit.
