THE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT AND THE DECENTRALIZATION PROCESS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE FINANCIAL CRISIS
The theme presented is of a great importance for the European countries, especially for Central and Eastern Europe countries. The development, understood as a result of change, has to be accepted as a basic component of the social-economic development. The experience of several EU countries, regarding their regional development policies, was the main feature we took into account when starting the analysis. The research we made for Romania began by studying the EU policies concerning development and decentralization. The article aims at offering a coherent approach, at getting to useful results in order to give an impulse for future studies.
