The Measurement of Use Value

The purpose of socialist production is to secure the total well-being and free, comprehensive development of all members of society. For this reason, use value is one of the most important categories in the political economy of socialism and in applied economic sciences. " ⦠There is nothing more erroneous than the view," wrote K. Marx, "that the boundary between use value and exchange value ⦠generally lies outside the confines of the economic definition of form ⦠Use value itself plays the role of an economic category."
