The Use of Blockchain Technology in E-Government Applications : A Preliminary Review (Blokzinciri Teknolojisinin E-Devlet Uygulamalarında Kullanımı: Ön İnceleme)

Blockchain is a decentralized technology that keeps track of the transaction records which are guaranteed to be immutable with the hashing processes. This technology got famous with the cryptocurrency, however, it remains on the agenda with the systems and applications which can be developed on it. Many financial institutions started working on this technology to use it actively. Many countries started testing this technology in e-government applications. In this study, selected studies about using blockchain technologies in e-government applications are examined and presented. The potential benefits of blockchain implementations in governments and the possible effects of these implementations are discussed
