Towards a re-institutionalisation of labor relations through the competencies. A new agenda for the regulation theory (In French)

The labor relations seem to be from now on considered as an dominant institutional form while fordism was the specific regulation mode, historically located. The Thesis supported in this paper argues a different position: the labor relations are always a central institutional form, whatever the regulation mode may be. It is the nature of its centrality which changes but not the centrality itself, which remains a constant of the majority of the economies of developed capitalism. The actual centrality of the labor relations is based on competencies. Competencies are, in the paper, analysed in relation with changes in the labor sphere and with a link to professional mobilities and professional relations.
