Towards Excellence in E-Learning: Implementing SEQCL for Course Quality
E-learning involves a complete transformation in the way course content is delivered. Designing high-quality courses is a priority for all training institu-tions. Whether in face-to-face or online formats, these institutions aim to provide the most effective, relevant, and learner-centered content. In this article, we present a non-exhaustive overview of quality criteria re-lated to the design of online courses. We also introduce the SEQCL platform (Quality Evaluation System of Online Courses), which is designed to support teachers in developing online courses that meet established quality stand-ards. SEQCL includes a set of quality criteria specifically intended for online course design. To better understand how this platform can help teachers im-prove their courses, it was tested by 22 newly recruited instructors who had previously received training in the use of Information and Communication Technologies for Education (such as the Moodle platform, exercise genera-tors, lesson planning, uploading online courses, etc.).
