Training delivers exemplary performance at TNT : Award‐winning program transforms archive‐services division
Purpose – Describes award‐winning training that has transformed TNT's archive services division. Design/methodology/approach – Examines the reasons for the training, the form it took and the results it has achieved. Findings – Reveals significant improvements in divisional profits, productivity, employee engagement, employee turnover and sickness absence; employees enjoy what they do, feel empowered and believe in their management team. Practical implications – Points out that TNT calculates it has saved £1,455,640, taking into account the cost of the training. Social implications – Details how training programs can change people's attitudes. Originality/value – Highlights how training helped to transform the division from underperformance to one of exemplary status.
