Treading Water in the High-tech Global Economy: An Investigation of United States Immigration Policy with an Eye on the H-1B Visa

This paper addresses objections to immigration on the basis of their skill level—examining the historical results of United States immigration policy in an effort to support a move to unlimited H-1B visa issuance. Great care is taken to include up to date media coverage as immigration policy is greatly affected by public opinion. Not only does an historical precedent exist, but there is strong moral and economic support for a move to unlimited H-1B visa issuance.
