Uncertainty In Energy-Efficient Job Shop Scheduling : A Literature Review and a Framework
The purpose of this study is to review energy-efficient scheduling efforts in job shops and its inclusion of uncertainties in the literature. This study carries on efforts of previous review works, with energy-efficient job shop scheduling published in 2022, until the end of October of the same year as the scope of the reviewed papers. The findings were filtered and analyzed accordingly. Sources and degrees of uncertainties in the manufacturing environment were discussed, along with the possible relationship of those classifications with the findings of the review. Two novel frameworks are proposed. A Scheduling Uncertainty Matrix is proposed to deal with uncertainties in scheduling, in addition to a proposed framework for the general Energy-Efficient Scheduling problem. This review provides new insight on the inclusion of uncertainties in the optimization of Energy-Efficient Scheduling from the perspective of the manufacturing environment
