Wages and working conditions in the European Union
Income and wages are an essential component of employment and quality of work. They also have implications for company strategy and performance. The main objective of this report is to analyse the relationships between wages, work organisation and working conditions, as a result of managerial policy, and as an element of organisational performance and quality of working life, and to produce indicators accordingly. The research model examines the influence of various environmental factors, and produces qualitative information concerning the relationships between the pay system, union density, employee representation, working time flexibility and contract type.
