A method for teaching model-building
Subramanian, R.; Murthy, D.N.P.; Smith, T.C. - In: Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM) 18 (1976) 4, pp. 239-244
This paper considers the problem of initiation to model-building as a self-learning process for discovery of concepts and development of confidence of skills.

A transistorized carrier frequency computing amplifier
Solbakken, A. - In: Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM) 3 (1961) 3, pp. 124-131
This report describes an all transistorized carrier frequency computing amplifier with a dynamic computing accuracy of 5 parts in 10 000.

On the analog computer solution of first-order partial differential equations
Little, W.D.; Soudack, A.C. - In: Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM) 7 (1965) 4, pp. 190-194
The authors wish to point out the educational possibilities of an analog computer to demonstrate and clarify the fundamentals in the theory of partial differential equations. They, furthermore, develop an original method of solving a first order, non linear partial differential equation.

Transient behaviour of non-minimum phase-shift networks
Mosca, V. - In: Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM) 10 (1968) 2, pp. 80-84
Some non-minimum phase-shift networks are simulated on an analog computer and their transient response recorded.

Finding an optimal partition for a numerical integration using the trapezoidal rule
Vergnes, J.; Dumontet, J. - In: Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM) 21 (1979) 2, pp. 231-241
When a method of numerical integration is implemented on a computer, it is performed with a limited precision arithmetic. This causes a computing error propagated at the level of each elementary operation and affecting, like the method error, the final computed result.

A new stabilized generator model for three phase sinewaves
Kaplan, B.Z.; Bachar, S.T. - In: Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM) 21 (1979) 2, pp. 207-208
A new three dimensional oscillator model for generating three phases of sinewaves is derived. The model is similar to the previous one (Ref.1) in enabling an undistorted stabilized generation of sinewaves. Its advantages in comparison to the previous model are due to its distinguished structural...
