On Gale and Shapley ‘College admissions and stability of marriage’
GABSZEWICZ, Jean J.; Filomena, GARCIA; Joana, PAIS; … - Institut de Recherche Économique et Sociale (IRES), … - 2008
In this note, we start to claim that established marriages can be heavily destabilized when the population of existing couples is enriched by the arrival of new candidates to marriage. Afterwards, we discuss briefly how stability concepts can be extended to account for entry and exit phenomena...

Marriage markets with externalities
Chowdhury, Prabal Roy - Indian Statistical Institute - 2004
This paper examines a marriage market with externality. We first develop an appropriate notion of stability for this market, called E-stability. We provide an example to show that an E-stable outcome need not exist. We then derive conditions under which an E-stable outcome exists.

Persistent age distributions for an age-structured two-sex population model
Inaba, Hisashi - In: Mathematical Population Studies 7 (2000) 4, pp. 365-398
In this paper we formulate an age-structured two-sex population model which takes into account a monogamous marriage rule and the duration of marriage. We are mainly concerned with the existence of exponential solutions with a persistent age distribution. First we provide a semigroup method to...
