The parameter values represented by the conditions of this set of rules are called a decision signature. A model and algorithms for the selection of the desired parameters (decision signatures) will be developed. The parameters of this model are updated using a framework provided by the learning classifier systems 1 and the parameters optimizing process performance are recommended. The applications discussed in this paper differ from most data mining tasks 1

Parameter estimation in biochemical systems models with alternating regression

Background: The estimation of parameter values continues to be the bottleneck of thecomputational analysis of … differential equations, provides a fast new tool foridentifying parameter values from time series data. The key feature of AR is … that it dissects thenonlinear inverse problem of estimating parameter values into iterative steps of linear regression …

FRACTAL CHARACTERIZATIONS OF MAX STATISTICAL DISTRIBUTION IN GENETIC ASSOCIATION STUDIES
LI, WENTIAN; YANG, YANING - In: Advances in Complex Systems (ACS) 12 (2009) 04, pp. 513-531
Two noninteger parameters are defined for MAX statistics, which are maxima of d simpler test statistics. The first parameter, dMAX, is the fractional number of tests, representing the equivalent numbers of independent tests in MAX. If the d tests are dependent, dMAX d. The second parameter is...
