Prioritize articles with the sorting options

The new EconBiz sorting option "Prioritize articles" makes sure that journal articles appear at the top of the result list. Articles have usually gone through a peer review process and are therefore considered to be very reliable. With the new sorting option, you can easily access these reliable research outputs and find even faster what you are looking for.

By default, the results in EconBiz are sorted by relevance, so that journal articles can be found in the result lists next to working papers, monographs and other publication types. The relevance ranking works very well for many, but not all queries. If the relevance ranking is not optimal, the other EconBiz sorting options “articles prioritized", "newest first" or "oldest first" can help you achieve an even better sorting. (If you do not only want to prioritize articles, but search for articles exclusively, you can use the filter "type of publication: article" instead.)

Do you want to see the new ranking in action? Here are two searches on "supply chain resilience" – one sorted by relevance and one with prioritized articles.

In the spirit of Open Science, EconBiz aims to be as transparent as possible. This also includes the ranking of results. You can read more about how our ranking works here [PDF, 136 KB].
