EDEN DOCTORAL SEMINAR ON INNOVATION MANAGEMENT AND ECONOMICS "THEORIES, METHODS, EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE AND POLICY CHALLENGES"
Innovation has become a top priority for both firms’ CEOs and policy makers. As a consequence, scholars in management and economics are increasingly focusing their investigation on issues such as the organization of innovation processes, the determinants of R&D investments, and open innovation strategies. In this regard, acquisitions and collaborations with other firms and institutions, including users and communities of practices, play a crucial role for firms’ innovation. These issues require linking innovation management and economics. These fields, once developed rather independently, are now converging by focusing on similar problems, sharing models, perspectives and methods.
