Some formulae for population projection have been derived under stability conditions. The proposed formulae are also illustrated with some numerical values of the parameters involved therein. The merits and shortcomings are also discussed.

It is observed that the sample median for the even sample size n = 2m is superior to the sample median with n = 2m + 1. A slight modification in the definition of the sample medain for the odd sample size is suggested, which eliminates this odd property.

The article proposes a number of indices, taking values between zero and one, intended to measure data robustness of the inference on the given data set. These indices are based on repeated inference on the deleted samples and in some cases bootstrap samples, and thus are computer intensive.
