Youth, age and the representation of fear - This paper works against the representation of the young as merely perpetrators of violence and in so doing exposes the reality that many young people, who are at risk, are a common feature of harassment and fear. This paper draws upon the geography of risk for young people and examines the duality and distinctions between feared and fearing.

Ethno-sectarianism and the reproduction of fear in Belfast - Place and the control and administration of violence has and remains a feature of living within Belfast. Fear is based not only upon the reproduction of sectarian attitudes but also controls mobility and the pattern of living. This paper views how the creation of fear undermines meaningful political change.

ARTICLES - 'Who is going to Toss the Burgers?' Social Class and the Reconstruction of the Northern Irish Economy - At least in the medium term, the Peace Process cannot resolve the nature of sectarianism in Northern Ireland. Rooted in sectarian labour markets, social and political conflict will require more than the tinkering at the edges envisaged in the Belfast Agreement
