In article the general idea about definition of concepts of a subject of "municipal service", "the municipal employee" and "a municipal position" is considered. It is adumbrated about definition of these concepts on the basis synthesis of its use in the legislation of subjects of the Russian Federation, and also in sciences of the state and municipal law.
