Cities have a big influence on a country's economic and social growth. However, India's present infrastructure is collapsing under the weight of an exponentially growing population. To meet this challenge, India will need to discover better ways to manage complexities, cut costs, raise efficiency, and improve quality of life. As a result, the study used a case study approach. To enhance the validity of findings, the study implemented a triangulation method - four methods including an in-depth interview, observation, semi-structured survey, and secondary data. The field notes were narrated thematically. The survey data was analysed using SPSS 20.0 and secondary data by Atlas-ti 7.0 and generated network diagrams, superfamily, and word clouds. The study discovered few new variables along with literature variables. Similarly discovered the IoT technologies used are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, sensors, GIS, GPS, smart cards, smart devices, web 3.0, social media, IP/CCTV, HVAC, data centres etc. IoT technologies are deploying to citizen security, governance, health, education, and housing, transportation, and public utility services like water, power, gas and waste management. The study is evidencing that the constitution of smart cities is causing Quality of Life, environmental and economic development. Finally, the six dimensions and variables were reconstructed in the form of 10 hypotheses and a smart city model
