Application of Kaizen Techniques in Function of Continuous Improvement of Operations

This paper is an attempt to analyze the different techniques and tools that are used to reduce costs and improve performance, which are gaining in importance by the development of kaizen concept. Basically kaizen is striving for continuous improvement of business on the basis of incremental, small improvements for the better. Kaizen as an approach to continuous improvement of business includes a number of different techniques, and is often referred to as an umbrella concept. They all can be applied independently, but the full effect provides the mixed application of kaizen techniques. Each of the techniques has its own characteristics,areas of application and effects, however, all of them are characterized by simplicity, clarity, practicality, efficiency and necessity of minimum investment.
