The misappropriation of trade secrets threat comes from numerous sources, such as current or former employees, competitors, clients, suppliers, and hackers. Given the fundamental role computer programs play in numerous industries, and taken into consideration the high complexity and financial investments involved in the development process, source code presents a particular interest for perpetrators.
