Balancing training and development programmes for your team
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the balance of internal training programmes and how to get the best out of them. Design/methodology/approach – The paper is based on the practical experience of the author. Findings – Training should be bite‐sized and incorporate real situations, coaching and feedback. Originality/value – The paper provides new thoughts and distinctions around the internal training arena and is suitable for training managers and directors of organisations.
