Blockchain-based Claim Verification and Approval System for Disbursing Fertilizer Subsidy
The need to tally and compare the same transactional data from multiple sources for verification and approval of fertilizer subsidy claims by government authorities arises from the inherent lack of trust in a multi-organizational environment. This leads to significant delays in the release of subsidy funds. We propose a blockchain-based system for simplifying and automating the verification process and release of funds by providing a new way of managing, verifying, and disseminating information. Our model eliminates the need for intermediaries such as reviewers and auditors and the associated costs incurred. To understand the problem at hand and the current workflow, things are relayed from an Indian perspective, though the proposed model can be configured for other similar workflows as well.
