Commitment of Project Executors as a Key Factor of Project Success
The article shows the importance of the commitment of project executors as a key factor of projects success based on the results of a study entitled “The effectiveness of project management in companies operating in Poland”. The results show that among a few dozen of analyzed factors which are conducive to successful realization of projects, the most significant ones are those referring to people, including especially the commitment of project manager and project team members. The article describes the determinants of the commitment of project managers distinguishing determinants of the professional and organizational commitment. They were shown as the ones that determine attitudes and behaviors of project manager suggesting that their recognition by managers may contribute to more conscious building of effective commitment in project execution.
