Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of Select Financial Variables in Indian Four-wheeler Automobile Companies

The Indian automobile industry plays a vital role in the post globalization era. In India four-wheeler automobile companies play energetic role, emerge as the world's third-largest passenger vehicle market by 2021. It is a one of the key sectors of the economy. The four-wheeler automobile companies has shown great progress since delicensing and opening up the sector to Direct investment (FDI) in 1991-1992. It is both forward and backward linkages with the rest of the economy, and hence has a strong multiplier effect. The four-wheeler automobile companies including passenger’s car manufacturing and manufacturing of components is estimated to provide employment directly to approximately five lakhs of people and indirectly to around 50 million people. This paper deals with analysis of select financial variables using Compound Annual growth rate. The financial data and information required for the study were drawn from CMIE. This study covers 10 years data to analysis the secondary data in present attempt found that the selected four-wheeler automobile (passenger car) companies in India, CAGR percentage of Net Income, fixed assets, equity and current asset was in satisfactory level and other financial variables were not in satisfactory level
