This chart attempts to summarize and organize major provisions of various U.S. social enterprise statutes. The entity forms allowed by one or more of the social enterprise statutes are benefit corporations, flexible purpose corporations, public benefit corporations, and social purpose corporations. The chart is intended to aid readers in comparing the corporation-based social enterprise state statutes. The chart is updated as of the date listed in the document footer, and the substance of each state statute is included only after the statutes become effective.
