Creating Markets for Energy Technologies
International Energy Agency
Expanding markets for clean and efficient technologies will increase energy security and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. But many promising technologies are still too expensive or face other obstacles to commercial deployment. Governments need to consider deployment policies to create markets for the new technologies. This book explores the design of technology deployment programmes and the reasons behind their success, and features 22 case studies from IEA countries.
