Cu-Incorporated Fe-Mofs for Fenton-Like Reaction : Maximum Performance, Minimum H2o2 Consumption
Inferior catalytic activity, iron leaching, and low H 2 O 2 utilization always hinder the application for Fe-based Fenton-like catalysts. In this work, mixed-valence Cu/Fe-based MOF catalysts with a high amount of Cu I and Fe II species were synthesized by vacuum activated method. A linear relationship was observed for the Fenton-like performance and the amount of Fe II species on the catalysts. The enriched Cu I species accelerate Fe III /Fe II transformation and suppress Fe species leaching during the reaction. In addition, the co-existed Cu I and Fe II species on 0.4Cu@Fe-MOF improve H 2 O 2 utilization to 85%, which is almost 6.1 times of pure Fe-MOF. This work provides a scientific basis for the rational manufacture of highly effective, stable, and H 2 O 2 saved Fenton-like catalysts
