Determinants of Sustainable Utility Investment in Mongolia

The transition towards a sustainable and environmentally conscious society necessitates the significance of sustainable utilities, making it imperative to examine the factors influencing sustainable utilities investment. This research aims to investigate the determinants of sustainable utilities investment in Mongolia from 1980 to 2020, employing the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) technique. The empirical findings reveal that an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) negatively affects investment. Based on these findings, practical policies such as digitalization, the establishment of green financing mechanisms, implementation of efficient green fiscal policies, and fostering Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) are recommended for Mongolia
