Development of Single Measuring Point Overall Balancing Method Based on Multi-Cylinder Dynamic Balance Detection System
Combine harvesters with multi-cylinder has a wide application to improve operation efficiency nowadays. Therefore, as an important process in combine harvesters, threshing operated by multi-cylinder usually leads the working structures to suffering hit from the blockage of stones or materials, as a result, cylinders fail to guarantee the original balance. Many researchers have carried out important study in this area based on dynamic balance method and vibration signal processing. However, most of them are not effective to multi-cylinder. The objective of this research was to specifically develop an online dynamic balance detection system for multi-cylinder in combine harvesters, to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of online dynamic balance detection. A multi-cylinder test rig was established, and unbalanced vibration experiments under various working conditions were carried out. The results indicated that the different measuring positions had different sensitivity to unbalanced mass. The vibration was more easily transmission through the frame and coupled with each other. Under the multi-cylinder rotation, the vibration had strong randomness and poor convergence. For this purpose, the single measuring point overall balancing method was proposed, as well as an adaptive multiple filter algorithm relied on LabVIEW platform. Through phase relation between cylinders, the single measuring point overall balancing algorithm was developed, and experimental verification results showed that algorithm was more robust under the multi-cylinder rotation. The novel method when used as a traditional balance method for comparison, showed a better balance effect. It seems that the detection system was successfully applied to the combine harvester and the dynamic balance level reached G3.9
