Cryptocurrency is one of the hottest topics in the Fintech world ever since Bitcoin was first released in 2013. Opinions on this subset of Digital Asset varies widely from people who think it is a scheme to those who believe it will revolutionize the finance industry and most of these opinions were formed based on ill-informed opinions, sensationalized headlines, and whispers from the grapevines.The paper aims to give readers a basic understanding of cryptocurrencies and other digital assets, the technology that powers it, how the “value” is derived, and how one can invest. We will also take a closer look of crypto funds, a new type of hedge funds that invest purely in cryptocurrencies, and evaluate how suitable it is as an investment vehicle from a wealth management perspective
