Disruptive Technologies for Teaching and Learning Ecosystem Effectiveness, the Case of Web-Based Examination Timetabling and Management System
The study is aimed at developing a web-based timetabling and examination management system (WTEMS) that disrupts the current ineffective traditional examination management system of Nigerian tertiary institutions. The study combined Agile Development framework and Rapid Application Development for quick application development and delivery. To validate the application, questionnaire was administered to 350 users which returned 200 valid responses. The turnaround time for timetable generation was significantly reduced and examination management improved without any known error. Responses from users indicated the friendliness of the application, improved productivity at every unit and resolve of students’ complaints
