EASO training curriculum : handbook on the reception module

This handbook will provide you with an overview of the key learning objectives presented in the Reception module. The aim of the Reception training handbook is to serve as a reference tool and to accompany you in the course of your work by providing the key elements of the theoretical knowledge, skills and competencies which you have acquired while completing the Reception module. This handbook is structured to help you recall and retain the knowledge and skills acquired through the training phase. Key issues are presented in each unit and you are advised to reflect on these newly acquired knowledge and skills while performing your day-to-day duties. Such reflection can be an important element of the learning process and can be further discussed with your supervisor, coach or colleagues. The handbook also contains a number of checklists which you may find useful. These checklists can also serve as a tool for self-evaluation or to help you structure your feedback if you are supervising your colleagues. At the end of this document you will find a glossary that can be used as a quick reference to help you remember the basic concepts used in reception. This handbook should not, in any way, replace the online training and is only a complementary tool which should be used after you have completed the entire Reception module. Distribution of this handbook should be limited to trainees who have completed the Reception module.
