Eco-efficient transport : interim report on scenarios for eco-efficient transport futures

The report provides an overview on the scenarios and a preliminary discussion of the results. The scenarios consist of quantitative model-based calculations that are embedded in qualitative storylines. The scenarios follow three basic strategies to reach eco-efficiency: a) making transport modes cleaner; b) changing the modal split; c) reducing transport volumes. Intentionally, the general assumptions of the scenarios are highly ambitious in order to provide a good base for the stakeholder discussion conducted in phase 4.
