Ecuador: Binding Constraints to Growth

This is the latest version available of this document. This paper follows the GDM approach, with the aim of identifying the binding constraints to Ecuadorian growth, defined as those constraints whose removal would have the largest payoff in terms of growth. As per the strategy, different potential reasons constraining growth are assessed, in light of the stylized facts characterizing the country's economic performance.
