Burada, bu hipotezin rüşeymi sayılan təsadüfi yürüş nəzəriyyəsindən başlayaraq hipotezin tam bir elmi konsepsiya kimi formalaşmasına qədər olan tədqiqatlar, hipotezi dəstəkləyən və tənqid elən ən vacib tədqiqat və məqalələr qeyd edilmişdir
