Enumeration and evaluation of systematically generated architectural compositions
The composition system developed in a previous paper is implemented: compositions at lower levels of the composition system are enumerated by hand and by a Pascal program. Compositions at higher levels are developed by generating architectural languages -- that is, by selecting sets of 2 x 2 multimodule compositions to form language vocabularies and by combining these vocabulary compositions to form 4 x 4 multimodule compositions and larger ones in accordance with the formation rules. These compositions are evaluated by various criteria of architectural interest: symmetry and asymmetry, room formation, and corner treatment.
