European Commission and UNEP working together for the Environment
UNEP and the European Commission are active partners in establishing, implementing and evaluating international environmental policies. Both parties are by nature committed to the principle of multilateralism. Thus, both favour action based on consensus and implemented by a coherent international community. Central to their vision of the world are competent national and international institutions and relations based on the rule of law and respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms.
