Evaluation of the existing policy and legislative framework and preparation of impact assessment regarding possible options for a future EU initiative in combatting fraud in and counterfeiting of non-cash means of payment : final report

The study aimed at evaluating the existing policy and legislative framework (and namely the legislative measures transposing the Council Framework Decision 2001/413/JHA -hereafter also Framework Decision or FwD) in combatting fraud in and counterfeiting of non-cash payment (NCP) instruments and at preparing an impact assessment regarding possible options for future EU initiatives. In detail, the study pursued three specific objectives: The results of the evaluation are presented in Part I of the report; the results of the impact assessment are presented in Part II of the report.
