Experimental study of polarization-selective holes, burning in absorption spectra of metal fractal clusters
Frequency- and polarization-selective photomodification of silver and gold fractal clusters (fractals) was studied. It was found that two dichroic holes appeared in the wings of the absorption spectrum when clusters had been irradiated by a laser pulse. The contributions of collective and binary interactions of monomers in the forming of the fractals' absorption spectrum were separated experimentally. The experimental results confirm the basic conclusions spectrum were separated experimentally. The experimental results confirm the basic conclusions of the fluctuation theory of fractal optical properties.
