Fabrication of Super-Hydrophilic Special Sandwich Structure of Pan/Go/Sio2 Electrospun Membrane Decorated with Sio2 Nanoparticles for Oil/ Water Separation
In this paper, a novel special-sandwich-structure PAN@GO/SiO 2 @PAN-SiO 2 nanofiltration membrane with high water flux was prepared using electrospinning combined with the electro-spraying method for efficient oil/water separation. The results of morphological and structural studies confirmed that spraying SiO 2 NPs to the outer surface of NFs increased the surface roughness with high porosity, and reduced the water contact angle value responsible for the improved hydrophilicity. Also, adding SiO 2 to the middle layer of the structure raises the porosity and the membrane flux. The values of oil/water rejections indicate the good performance of the PAN@GO/SiO 2 (1:1)@PAN-SiO 2 membrane. The SiO 2 NPs supply agreeable hydrophilicity and oleophobicity surface, leading to optimum oil/water separation with rejection over 98%, obtained under the driving of gravity for free-surfactant toluene emulsion, and above 97% for other types of oils
