Factors Fascinating Alumni Towards Entrepreneurship : Case Study of GCC

Alumni Entrepreneurship is the fundamental carter of economic development. This study emphases to identify the factors that encourage entrepreneurial attitudes among Alumni in GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council). More precisely, it required to scrutinize the role of government, entrepreneur incubators, the entrepreneurial courses taught at Higher Education Institutions, and Alumni demographic characteristics in encouraging Alumni’ to embrace entrepreneurship. This study is a primary data-based study, where data was gathered from a sample of 500Alumni from GCC through a self-administered questionnaire and was subjected to one-way ANOVA tests. Different statistical tools were used to draw some valued conclusions from the gathered data. The study reveals that Alumni entrepreneurs acknowledge the role played by government, the entrepreneurship course, entrepreneur incubators, and demographic variables in encouraging them to embrace entrepreneurship. Government and the entrepreneurial course were found to be the greatest variables encouraging Alumni to embrace entrepreneurship. Nevertheless, the low overall mean exhibited that most Alumni do not believe that these bodies have played their role satisfactorily. Whereas the ANOVA results reveal that age, academic level, and work experience were not important factors behind encouraging Alumni to embrace entrepreneurship. The overall conclusion of the study is that the government need to play a more meditative role in fascinating Alumni to embrace entrepreneurship
